About us
Not a European patisserie in Rwandan colours.
Wheatburn is a Rwandan bakery that bakes the harvest it stands in. Rwanda imports 90–95% of the wheat it eats, and imported flour got sharply more expensive after 2022. So we bake differently on purpose: cassava composite loaves for volume, sorghum and millet for the heritage and the gluten-free shelf, honey and groundnut for the character, and local fruit for everything sweet.
Every product carries its Kinyarwanda name first. The name is the story, and the story is the product.
Hungry now? It takes about a minute.
Add what you want, tell us where it goes, and we confirm by SMS or WhatsApp. No account needed — but signing in saves your address for next time.
